The School of Nursing faculty are involved in collaborative, interdisciplinary research in community and health care settings. The School of Nursing has received research grants and awards from multiple agencies including National Institutes of Health (NIH), Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), NC Area Health Education Center Program (AHEC), Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and others. Some research grants that have been awarded are the Veterans Access Program, Nurse Anesthetist Traineeship Program, RN-BSN Outreach Programs, Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Project, and the TRIAD 2 Center for Health Disparities.
