The UNCG School of Nursing Research Office is dedicated to supporting nursing faculty and students in their research endeavors. Our mission is to foster a vibrant research environment that promotes innovative and impactful research in the field of nursing. Our office provides a wide range of services, including consultation, grant writing support, data analysis, and dissemination, ensuring researchers have the comprehensive support and guidance they need to excel at every stage of their projects.

Grant application templates and online systems, including processing through Cayuse, ASSIST and grants.gov and others
Budget development
Scientific review of grant proposals (internal and external)
Research design and methods consultation
Assist with developing subcontracts to and from UNCG
Develop and obtain consultant and site access letters
Package grants in appropriate format and file types
Post-award grant and budget management (assisting with expenditures according to university, state, federal and funding source guidelines)
Assist with financial and narrative grant reports
Recruit, hire and train graduate and undergraduate research assistants
Assist with contract development and negotiation
Assist with personnel hiring processes
Assist with training new personnel in budget management and grant management
Liaison between faculty and Vice Chancellor for Research and Economic Development, the Office of Sponsored Programs, Office of Research Integrity, Office of Contracts and Grants
Assist with Data Use Agreements
Manuscript and abstract editing
Select scientific and methods expert consultants
Statistical consultation
Faculty and research program development
Consultation regarding institutional review board procedures including human subjects training, data safety monitoring and conflict of interest training
Data measures and equipment purchase or share
