School of Nursing Offers New Prelicensure Master’s Program 

NC Greensboro introduces its new Prelicensure Entry Level Master of Science in Nursing (PELMSN) Program, expanding opportunities for individuals not currently nurses to change their careers and become nurses. The Prelicensure Master’s is a direct entry pathway, often called a Direct Master’s Entry (DME) program. UNCG’s School of Nursing’s new Prelicensure MSN is the first direct-admission master’s nursing program approved in the state and in the UNC System.

School of Nursing Innovates With Direct Admission 

The SON now offers the first UNC system’s Direct Admission initiative for its high-demand BSN program. This streamlined process offers more certainty, efficiency, and savings for eligible incoming first-year students.

UNCG SCHOOL OF NURSING RECEIVES $2.4 MILLION AWARD

The UNC Greensboro School of Nursing has received $2,420,118 to expand and enroll more nursing students. The funding, allocated from the UNC System Office, is part of the legislature’s efforts to increase nursing degree completions by at least 50 percent.
