Doctors initially believed stress and fatigue had brought on the numbness in Richardson’s limbs. Their opinions changed two months later when she lost vision in her right eye and couldn’t walk around the grocery store without getting tired.
“For me personally, it’s not only a responsibility but an obligation” to help, Dr. Audrey Snyder, associate dean for experiential learning and innovation at the nursing school, told Medscape Medical News. “I hope if we were in the same boat that someone would do the same for us.”
