KATHRYN S. FOSTER ,RN, BSN, MSN 2018 UNCG School of Nursing Distinguished Alumna

Kathryn S. Foster has held various positions at the Moses Cone Health System since her graduation in 1984 and is currently Quality Manager for Long Term Care in the Health Services Division for the system. Kathy is a member of Sigma Theta Tau – Gamma Zeta Chapter, the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses and the Greater North Carolina Chapter of ARN, the American Nurses Association and the North Carolina Nurses Association. In 1986, she obtained certification in Rehabilitation Nursing, was recipient of the NCNA Preceptor of the Year Award in 1993, and was selected as a Great 100 Nurse for North Carolina in 1994. From 1988-1989, she served as president of the Greater NC Chapter of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses. She has served the UNCG School of Nursing as president of its alumni association from 1994-1998, as member of the UNCG School of Nursing Steering Committee for the Second Century Campaign from 1996-1999, and is currently co-chair of the School of Nursing Steering Committee for the UNCG Students First Campaign. Kathy has also served the University as a member of the board of directors for the UNCG Alumni Association, District 5 Representative from 1998-2001.
