The School of Nursing offers several research assistantships; some assistantships are matched by tuition waivers. Students attend research seminars and assist faculty with scholarly work for ten, fifteen, or twenty hours per week. Applications may be obtained from Karen Ergott, Doctoral Program Assistant, ph. 336-334-3167. The completed application should be sent to Dr. Richard Cowling, Doctoral Program Director, by April 15th, in order for students to be considered for assistantships for the following academic year. A variety of scholarships from University and other agencies are available for PhD students. The Office of the PhD Program provides ongoing information about these opportunities via e-mail and assists students in understanding requirements for application
