Susan Neeley
2011 NC School Nurse Administrator of the year
Susan Neeley, MSN ’95, from Cramerton, NC, was named the 2011 NC School Nurse Administrator of the year. She became director of health services for Gaston County Schools in 2008 following a 30 year career at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She serves on several task forces providing leadership and guidance for quality improvement teams at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She is a member of the Cramerton Planning and Zoning Board; Infant Mortality Board of Gaston County; National Association of School Nurses; the Nursing Leadership Council; and executive member of the National Honor Society of Nursing. Susan has also received the WBTV Jefferson Community Service award; the CaroMont Nursing Excellence Award; the Regional Emergency Medical Services Most Dedicated EMS Supporter by a Registered Nurse; and the Great 100-Nursing Excellence lifetime achievement award.
